Why did Congress need to take Paresh Dhanni to the Amreli seat?
Leader of the Opposition in Gujarat Assembly Paresh Dhanani has filed nomination from Amreli constituency for Lok Sabha elections.
Gujarat Congress leader Manish Doshi has confirmed this.
Paresh Dhanari, who defeated BJP leader Purushottam Rupala in the assembly elections, is the young face of Congress.
In the conversation with BBC Gujarati, Doshi said, "Appreciation is accepted not only in the Patidars but in other societies too."
According to Doshi, candidates of Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Surendranagar and Ahmedabad East have also been declared in the list of candidates declared by Congress's Central Election Committee.
According to the list, Congress is from Gandhinagar. Which Chavda has given tickets, from Jamnagar to Mulubhai Kandoria and Surendranagar, Somabhai Patel has been elevated. Paresh Dhanari has been nominated from Amreli seat.

Paresh Dhanani was the president of the Congress Student Organization in Amreli district before 2002.
In the 2017 assembly elections, Paresh Dhanani was elected to the Amreli seat and in January 2010, he was appointed the Leader of the Opposition in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
In the elections, 42-year-old Dhanani defeated BJP's Barwaku Udhed by nearly 12,000 votes and was elected to the Legislative Assembly for the third time.
Paresh Dhanani, who was contesting for the first time in the 2002 assembly elections, defeated the then Gujarat Chief Minister of Gujarat, Purushottam Rupala by 16,000 votes.
According to senior journalist Jagdish Acharya, Dhanani had won a 'heavyweight' victory by defeating a senior leader like Rupala in the first election.

During the election campaign, Hardik addressed a meeting in Amreli, saying that Paresh Dhanni would be the Chief Minister in the Congress government.
