Before the country, then at the party and at the end I: LK Advani
Before the country, then at the party and at the end I: LK Advani
Former Prime Minister and BJP leader LK Advani finally broke the silence before the first phase of the election.
Two days before the establishment of the party, he did not give any speech in his familiar estimation to break the silence, but took the blog's support to speak for himself.
The headline of the blog written in English in more than five words, 'Nation first, party next, self-last' (ie-before country, then party and finally itself).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the statement by taking note of his blog.
Advani's traditional parliamentary seat, BJP president Amit Shah has been nominated from Gandhinagar.
After Amit Shah's candidature, Advani has made a public comment for the first time.
This blog has been written by addressing the party workers and on April 6 written two days before the foundation of the party.
Advani has written ...
This is an important opportunity for all of us in BJP, looking at our past, looking towards the future, and looking at our future.
As one of the BJP's founders, I believe this is my duty to present my views with the people of India, especially with my millions of activists. I am indebted to both the honor and affection of these two.
Before presenting my thoughts, I express my gratitude to the people of Gandhinagar. Who has won me elections for the Lok Sabha six times since 1991. I have always been fascinated by his pyaar and his support.
Since the age of 14, I joined the National Volunteers Association since serving my country was my zeal and mission.
My political life has been integral to my party for almost seven decades - with the first Indian people and later with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
I remained in the founding members of both parties. It is my rare fortune to work together with Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and many other great, selfless and inspiring leaders.
The guiding principle of my life is 'Before country, then party and finally I am'.
Whatever the situation, I have tried to follow these principles and will continue to do so.
Responding to Advani's blog, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote:
"The true essence of BJP is correctly stated. The most inspiring thing is, 'nation first, party and finally I'. I am proud to be BJP activists and leaders like LK Advani have strengthened it. "
The essence of Indian democracy is the honor and diversity of expression.
After the establishment of the BJP, we have never agreed to agree with our views, but we have considered him as our advisor.
Thus, in our definition of Indian nationalism, we have never called them anti-national, who politically disagreed with us.
The party is committed to the freedom of expression of every citizen on a private and political level.
Protecting democracy and democratic traditions within the country and within the party is a matter of pride for India. Therefore, BJP has always been in the forefront of demand for freedom, integrity, impartiality and reinforcement of all our democratic institutions including the media.
Pay attention to transparency in reforms, political and election funding for corruption-free politics, is a priority for the party to pay attention.
In short, truth, nationalism and democracy have directed development of my party's struggle. All of these values together become cultural nationalism and subdivision, on which my party has always been forever. The historical conflict against the Emergency was also to sustain these values.
It is my sincere desire that we all should collectively try to strengthen India's democratic education. The truth is that elections are a festival of democracy.
However, it is an honesty for all the representatives of the Indian democracy-honest political parties, mass media, officials associated with the election process and the highest voters.
